Jesus told us to "seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Matthew 6:33. What does that mean? Many people live their lives putting Christ and being a Christian first. But, that is NOT what Jesus was telling us. Living a life with Christ first FAILS to fulfill the will of God. This lesson explores what it really means to live a life that is Christ centered.

Can a Christian drink alcohol? This is a common question for those who seek after the will of God; many are quick to point out that there does not seem to be a clear condemnation of a Christian drinking alcohol in Scripture, and yet the Bible speaks volumes on alcohol in a negative context. We live in an alcoholic culture; how do we reconcile the absence of an absolute condemnation verses the clearly negative perspective the Bible has on alcohol? This lesson examines how a Christian is meant to view alcohol.

In Acts 19 we read about the Ephesian 12, 12 men who Paul met in Ephesus whom he instructed to be baptized a second time, as their first baptism was insufficient. We know that Baptism is vital to God's plan of salvation; on the day of Pentecost, when Peter and the other apostles opened the gates to the kingdom of heaven, this vital command was given: "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Is it possible to have an insufficient baptism? Is YOUR baptism sufficient?

Throughout the Old Testament the false pagan god Baal makes constant appearances as the tempter of Israel. While Paul makes it clear in I Corinthians that pagan gods are not gods, there is something real behind them. You might be surprised to know that Baal is still around today. Is it possible you serve him and do not even know it?

In America, we celebrate Independance as a virtue. But in the Kingdom of God, it is not a virtue. The Bible makes it clear that we are to be interdepenant rather than independant. This lesson examines what the Bible says about how Christians become dependant on one another as part of what it means to be in the image of Christ.

Have you ever put on someone elses glasses by mistake? We can't see through another perscription. Often, we do not consider that others look at spiritual things with different glasses. We typically believe that it is our "glasses" that are correct, but in fact, we ought to be looking through God's "glasses". This lesson considers how to make wise judgments, and when not to make them at all.

How do you refer to the Christians that you meet with? Is it "us", or "them"? Few realize the gravity that the difference between these words reveals; a mindset that changes the church from the "organism" it is meant to be to the "organization" that God does not desire. Bro.
